  • The Hortobágy Public Company for Nature Conservation and Gene Preservation is the leader organic meat producer of Hungary.

    The Racka-Delicacy of Hortobágy is the delicious meal of the healthy and environment minded consumers.

    The racka sheep and the so called mangalica pigs -a native "extreme extensive" Hungarian pig breed- are kept on the herb rich pusztas (barren) of the Hortobágy National Park. Local people of Hortobágy along with native Hungarian animal species are maintaining the beauty and the pureness of the region's environment and nature.

    Due to our organic farming the produced organic racka mutton and mangalica pork are excellent raw materials for exclusive meet industry products.

    The Racka-Delicacy of Hortobágy was developed in 2006. It is also the result of the successful co-operation between the Hortobágy Public Company for Nature Conservation and Gene Preservation and the Salami Master -Mr. Balatoni- of the PICK Szeged Rt.

    For the production of our exclusive products we selected traditional and special favoring and curing methods. The careful selection and combination of different organic spices (paprika, fennel, garlic, pepper, sugar, salt etc.) and the special beech wood cold-smoking with dry-curing results in an excellent and unique flavor. The production (ingredients, methods etc.) of this exclusive product is controlled by the Biokontroll Hungaria KHT, the most important organic inspector company of Hungary.

     

    The Organic Salami's packaging is not only carries the logo of the Hortobágy National Park but it is also environment friendly and recycled.

    Both the Hortobágy Public Company for Nature Conservation and Gene Preservation and the Salami Master - Mr. Balatoni - of the PICK Szeged Rt. are operating according to the standards of ISO 9001:2000, HCCP and TQM.

    An Organic Salami stick is around 250 grams; should be stored under 20 degree Celsius in dry-cool place; expires in 50 days.
